Dr. Abbie Gardiner

Naturopathic Doctor

I’m a naturopathic doctor and a mom of two small kids, doing my best to navigate work, home, and the many roles in between. Some days feel grounded and intentional; others feel stretched and full. My life isn’t perfectly organized or endlessly energetic. It’s real, and it’s imperfect. This lived experience shapes how I practice: with compassion, understanding, and an emphasis on small, steady steps that feel manageable in everyday life.

I’m often asked why I became a naturopathic doctor. The answer comes from my own health journey. For years, I struggled with extreme fatigue. I slept well but woke up exhausted, yawned through my days, and sometimes caught myself nodding off at stop lights. I went through sleep studies, medical assessments, and trialed medications, but it wasn’t until I met with a naturopathic doctor that I finally uncovered the root cause. I still remember saying, “I didn’t know I could feel this good,” and wondering, “Is this how everyone else feels?”

That moment changed everything. It’s what led me into this profession.

My energy isn’t perfect now, especially after having children. Fatigue still creeps in, and I still take on too much at times. The difference is that I recognize it early and have the tools to support myself through these seasons. Motherhood has also deepened my awareness of the load many women (not only moms) carry, and how often we put ourselves last.

All of this has shaped my practice philosophy and my passion for supporting my patients. Through years of education, practice, and life experience, I’ve learned that we’re not meant to do it all alone. We deserve care that listens, takes our concerns seriously, and meets us where we are. And that’s the heart of The Everyday Method. It’s not perfection, not quick fixes, but meaningful, sustainable change built through consistent, everyday actions.
